Highway  Code
The Highway Code is essential reading for everyone. Its rules apply to all road  users: pedestrians, horse riders and cyclists, as well as motorcyclists and drivers. When did YOU last read the Highway Code?

Pass Plus
is a scheme designed to make newly qualified car drivers become better  drivers. The course consists of six specially designed training sessions to follow on from a successful practical driving test. They enable the new driver to gain more experience in driving in town, out of town, in all weathers, at night, on dual carriageways and motorways. You can also save money on your car insurance too.

Road code
A Highway Code for Younger Road Users has been written with the needs of young  people, and contains the latest and best guidance on cycling proficiency,  the GREEN CROSS CODE and general "ROAD-CODE". It gives you the information you  need to be safer on the road, both as a pedestrian and as a cyclist.

The Vehicle Inspectorate's (VIA)
objective is to improve road safety and environmental standards. Its main task, carried out in co-operation with the police and local authority trading standards officers, is to ensure that motor vehicles are maintained to minimum standards laid down by law (to pass the MOT).
